20 Digital Products to Sell in 2026: Ideas Based on Real Search Data

if you've spent the last hour scrolling trying to figure out what side hustle to start — or you've already decided on digital products but you're stuck on which ones — close Canva for a second.

the biggest mistake i see new (and not-so-new) digital sellers make is choosing products based on what sounds like a good idea. their gut. a trend they saw on TikTok. something a friend said was selling well last year.

that's not how i research products.

i look for boring products people are already buying. unassuming keywords with interesting numbers. early trends starting to move before everyone notices. seasonal products with a short window that most sellers miss because they started too late.

because you don't need to create demand.

you need to find it.

and i just did a lot of the digging for you.

below i'm sharing six of the twenty opportunities from my September 2026 research session — with the actual data behind each one, my honest read on whether i'd make it, who the buyer really is, and what a full product ecosystem looks like around each keyword. the remaining fourteen are in the free 28-page guide at the bottom of this post.

How I research digital product opportunities

every opportunity in this article and in the free guide is researched the same way. i start with eRank — the etsy-specific keyword tool — to find average searches, clicks, CTR, and competition count for a keyword. i cross-reference with Google Trends to understand seasonality and whether interest is rising or falling. i look at estimated revenue on existing listings to understand whether real money is changing hands. then i form a verdict: would i make this, niche it down, or only make it if the timing is right?

i separate what the data shows (fact) from what i think it means (my interpretation). both matter. neither is a guarantee.

research date: september 2026. eRank and trend data changes — always verify before investing significant time into any opportunity.

Fall Festival Flyer Template 🟢 I'D MAKE IT

Avg Clicks

1,777

Source: eRank, September 2026 · Google Trends: BREAKOUT status (>5,000% vs preceding 3 months)

📊 Fact — eRank, September 2026A 150% CTR means etsy is generating more clicks than searches — buyers are clicking multiple listings per session, which signals they're not finding an immediately satisfying result. only 1,777 competing listings for a keyword generating real revenue is low.
💭 My interpretationthe church fall festival buyer is especially underserved. most listings lean halloween or generic autumn. a template that reads as harvest-themed — pumpkins, sunflowers, hay bales, no spiders — captures a specific buyer group with almost no dedicated competition. the window is september. searches spike sharply and drop fast. if this goes live in october, you've missed the majority of it.

who's buying: churches organising harvest festivals, school PTAs, community groups, farms promoting pumpkin patch season, small businesses running fall events. the church buyer specifically tends to buy on behalf of a committee and is less price-sensitive than an individual consumer.

product ecosystem: fall festival flyer → church version → school version → poster format (A4/letter) → sign-up/volunteer sheet → welcome sign → social media graphics for the event → vendor application form. one keyword, one buyer, eight potential listings.

📊 Fact — eRank, September 2026ADHD-related planner and organisation keywords show consistent search volume year-round with notable spikes at back-to-school (august/september) and january new year. the keyword isn't declining — ADHD diagnosis rates are rising, and with them, the audience searching for organisation tools.
💭 My interpretationthe buyer here isn't just someone who has ADHD. it's someone who is frustrated — who has tried regular planners and found them too rigid, too empty, or too overwhelming. the design decisions matter: time-blocking over daily lists, visual prioritisation, built-in buffer time, low-text layouts. a planner designed by someone who understands ADHD converts better than a generic planner with "ADHD" in the title. the niche rewards genuine product understanding.

who's buying: adults with ADHD (especially women, who are statistically underdiagnosed and often discover a diagnosis in their 30s-40s), parents buying for ADHD children, teachers looking for classroom tools, coaches working with neurodiverse clients.

product ecosystem: ADHD daily planner → ADHD weekly planner → ADHD task prioritisation sheet → ADHD homework tracker (for kids) → ADHD routine chart → ADHD time-blocking template → ADHD reflection journal. same buyer, same need, multiple entry points.

Thanksgiving Planner 🟡 MAKE IT IF THE TIMING IS RIGHT

High
📊 Fact — Google Trends, September 2026"Thanksgiving planner" searches begin rising in mid-October and peak in the two weeks before thanksgiving (late november). interest outside the US is negligible — this is almost entirely an american buyer.
💭 My interpretationthe amber verdict isn't because the opportunity is weak — it's because timing matters more than for most products. a thanksgiving planner listed in october has time to accumulate impressions before the peak. listed in november, you're racing against established listings with a month of history. the other thing worth noting: this buyer is hosting, not gifting. they need practical tools — guest list, meal plan, grocery list, timeline, hosting checklist — not something decorative. design for usefulness, not aesthetics.

who's buying: the person hosting thanksgiving — managing a large meal, multiple dietary requirements, family politics, and a timeline. typically buying in october when the panic of "i'm hosting again" sets in. primarily US, mostly women aged 30-55.

product ecosystem: thanksgiving planner → thanksgiving menu planner → thanksgiving grocery list → thanksgiving hosting checklist → thanksgiving seating plan template → thanksgiving recipe cards. all the same buyer, buying in october for november.

Perimenopause Tracker 🟢 I'D MAKE IT

📊 Fact — Google Trends, September 2026"Perimenopause symptoms" averages 201,000 monthly searches. the digital tracker category for this keyword is almost entirely unaddressed by existing etsy listings — most search results surface either NHS/medical content or general wellness journals with no perimenopause-specific functionality.
💭 My interpretationthis is one of the highest-conviction opportunities in the guide. the buyer is a woman who has been dismissed by a doctor and is trying to build her own evidence base. she doesn't need a journal — she needs a system. a tracker that logs 30+ symptoms daily, auto-calculates cycle irregularities, tracks lab results over time, and generates a summary she can take to a doctor appointment is genuinely useful in a way that a pretty wellness journal isn't. the PLR angle is also strong: PCOS coaches, menopause practitioners, and women's health consultants all have a client base that needs this tool. they're a separate buyer segment willing to pay more because they're buying it as a professional resource.

who's buying: women 35-55 experiencing symptoms they can't explain, women who have been dismissed or misdiagnosed, women in perimenopause trying to track patterns for a doctor, health coaches and practitioners who want to provide clients with a tracking tool.

product ecosystem: perimenopause symptom tracker → HRT decision tracker → hormone lab results log → PCOS tracker → menopause journal → cycle tracking system. same audience, lifecycle of needs, multiple products serving the same buyer at different stages.

2027 Calendar / Planner 🟢 GET AHEAD OF IT NOW

📊 Fact — Google Trends, September 2026searches for "2027 calendar" and "2027 planner" begin appearing in September 2026, accelerate through october-november, and peak in december. competition in september is low because most sellers haven't started creating 2027 products yet. by november, the category will be flooded.
💭 My interpretationthis is a pure timing play. the product itself isn't complicated — a 2027 wall calendar, a 2027 planner, a 2027 daily schedule template. what matters is being live before the competition catches up. a listing published in september with two months of search history outperforms an identical listing published in november. the other reason i like this right now: most 2027 calendar searches in september are from buyers who are early adopters — organised, planners, often willing to pay more for something well-designed. different buyer to the december panic-purchaser.

who's buying: organised planners who buy next year's calendar in Q4 of the current year, businesses needing 2027 scheduling tools early, teachers planning the 2026-2027 academic year. later in the cycle: gift buyers, last-minute purchasers.

product ecosystem: 2027 wall calendar → 2027 desk calendar → 2027 planner (daily/weekly/monthly) → 2027 goal planner → 2027 content calendar → 2027 academic year planner (aug 2026-july 2027). different formats, same buyer pool, different search terms.

Faceless Reels Bundle 🟢 I'D MAKE IT

📊 Fact — eRank, September 2026"faceless content" and "faceless reels" keywords show consistent search volume year-round on etsy. the buyer for this product is not a consumer — they're a seller. this changes the price ceiling significantly. a buyer purchasing a faceless reel bundle is buying a business asset, not personal content, and evaluates it differently.
💭 My interpretationthe seller-buyer is one of the best buyer types on etsy. they understand value, they buy purposefully, they leave better reviews because they're satisfied when the product does what it's meant to do, and they often come back to buy more. the dual-use nature of a faceless reels bundle — use it for your own social media AND sell it as a product — is the selling point that justifies a higher price. i'd lean hard into this in the listing title and description. not "get aesthetic reels." but "use these for your own accounts and sell the bundle as your own product."

who's buying: digital product sellers wanting social media content without filming, new creators building a faceless instagram or tiktok account, etsy sellers who want a product to resell immediately, coaches and consultants wanting branded content without a personal brand.

product ecosystem: faceless reels bundle → niche-specific reel packs (christmas, seasonal) → faceless content calendar → instagram carousel templates → faceless marketing guide → "start a faceless instagram" bundle. all serving the seller who wants to market without showing their face.

How to Find Your Own Digital Product Opportunities

the guide gives you 20. but the research method behind it is more valuable than any single product idea — because it works every month, not just in september 2026.

here's the actual process:

1. start with a signal, not an idea. don't start with "i want to make a planner." start with a keyword. what are people actually typing into etsy? what does eRank show for searches, clicks, CTR, and competition? the data tells you whether demand exists before you invest any time in creation.

2. understand CTR above 100%. when etsy shows more clicks than searches for a keyword, buyers are clicking multiple listings — they're not finding what they need on the first click. that's an underserved market signal, not a red flag. high CTR with low competition is the combination you're looking for.

3. check google trends before etsy. etsy keyword data tells you about etsy buyers. google trends tells you whether the broader world is looking for this thing. if google trends shows a keyword at near-zero for six months and then spiking in september, that's a seasonal product with a clear window. if it's flat and steady, that's evergreen. both can work — but they require different timing strategies.

4. look at what's actually making money, not what's ranking. eRank estimated revenue on existing listings tells you more than rank position. a listing ranked #38 generating $1,900 tells you that buyers are scrolling past the top results and finding what they want further down. that's a green signal for a new listing. a category where only the #1 and #2 listings show any revenue is a harder market to enter.

5. think in ecosystems, not individual products. the buyer who needs a fall festival flyer also needs a sign-up sheet, a welcome sign, and probably social media graphics for the event. the buyer who needs a perimenopause tracker also needs an HRT decision tracker and a doctor appointment summary template. one buyer, multiple products. that's how you build a shop that compounds rather than a single listing that sits waiting.

Quick Answers

What digital products should I sell in 2026?

Products with proven search demand, low competition, and a clear buyer.

in september 2026, that includes: fall festival flyer templates (breakout trend, under 1,800 competing listings), ADHD planners (consistent evergreen demand, rising diagnosis awareness), perimenopause trackers (201,000 monthly searches, almost no dedicated etsy competition), and 2027 calendars and planners (rising now, window closing by november). the full 28-page research guide covers 20 specific opportunities with data — free download here.

What are the most profitable digital products to sell on Etsy?

Templates, planners, trackers, and printables — specifically in underserved niches where buyers have a specific need and few good options.

the most profitable digital products on etsy in 2026 aren't necessarily the most obvious ones. planners and templates remain the category with the most consistent volume. but within those categories, the profitable products are the specific ones: ADHD planners outperform generic daily planners. church fall festival flyers outperform generic autumn invitation templates. perimenopause trackers outperform wellness journals for the buyer who needs clinical documentation. the niche within the category is where the margin is.

What are PLR digital products?

PLR (Private Label Rights) digital products are pre-made products you can buy, customise, and sell as your own — keeping 100% of the revenue.

instead of building every product from scratch, PLR lets you buy a professionally designed planner, template, tracker, or bundle, edit it in Canva with your own branding, and sell it as your own product. the licence is what matters: PLR means you can rebrand and sell. MRR (Master Resell Rights) means your buyers can also resell it. most products at Digital Biz PLR include both. full PLR explainer here.

What digital products are trending right now?

Based on September 2026 eRank and Google Trends data: fall festival flyer templates (BREAKOUT), 2027 planners and calendars (rising), perimenopause trackers (consistent, underserved), and ADHD organisation tools (evergreen growth).

"trending" is a word worth being careful with. what i look for is not what's trending on social media — it's what's showing movement in keyword data before the competition notices. the fall festival flyer keyword went from near-zero to breakout status in weeks. the 2027 calendar keyword is rising now with low competition. those are the timing signals worth acting on. the full guide covers 20 of them — free download.

How do I choose what digital product to sell?

Look for keywords with real search demand and low competition — not products that sound like a good idea.

the process: check eRank for the keyword's average searches, clicks, CTR, and competition on etsy. cross-check Google Trends for seasonal pattern and trend direction. look at eRank's estimated revenue on existing listings to see whether the category generates real money. then decide: is competition low enough for a new listing to get visibility? is timing right? do i understand who the buyer is? if yes to all three — make it. the research method is the same every time.

Can I sell PLR digital products on Etsy?

Yes — with your own creative input. you can't upload an unmodified PLR file.

etsy permits PLR products provided you customise them — add your branding, adjust the design, make it your own. the licence on the original product matters: PLR lets you rebrand and sell, MRR lets you also pass resell rights to your buyers. always read the licence before listing. all products at Digital Biz PLR include full PLR + MRR with clear terms.
