open your purchased template in canva and make it your own — swap the colors, the fonts, the wording, whatever you like. if it's a plr product, you have full editing rights. if it's mrr, you'll resell it exactly as-is (check the product listing to confirm which one you've got).

click share, then select "template link"

in canva, hit share in the top right, then choose template link (not a regular share link). this is the important bit — a template link lets your customer make their own copy to customize, without ever touching or changing your original design.

Copy the template link and place it in a new Canva page to thank the customer for their purchase

build a simple "thank you for your order" page

create one more canva page — just a clean thank you page with your template link pasted in as a button. this is what your customer sees the moment they buy. you can also add extra links here, like other products you sell or a freebie community to join.

download that page as a pdf, and upload it to your store

click share → download → choose pdf. that pdf is your actual delivery file — it's what gets uploaded to etsy, gumroad, your own site, wherever you're selling. when someone buys, they get the pdf, click the button inside it, and land straight on their own editable copy of your template.

what's the difference between a template link and a regular share link?
a regular canva share link lets people edit your actual original file — dangerous if multiple customers use the same link. a template link automatically creates a fresh, separate copy for every single person who clicks it, so your original design is always protected.
do i need a Canva Pro account to do this?
template links work on Canva's free plan, but Canva Pro gives you extra features like brand kits and premium elements, which can be worth it if you're building a lot of products.

what's the difference between PLR and MRR again?
